  • Hi everyone,   I know a good few of you are wanting a weight to these wheels, well I've just spoken to Dan at Bickerton (Skoda Parts) and asked him, how much these wheels weigh? Whilst I was on the

  • I like em, but sheesh, why the overly defensive posts?! Did you design them yourself?

  • I was going to explain the difference between "there" "their" and "they're", but I am not sure I can be bothered.

I'm not that keen personally

No spurious reason

I'm just not that keen

:)

From lifting them id say 12kg ish, you can curl them if that helps.

You obviously got them because you like how they look, why are you so negative towards somebody asking how much they weigh?

19's do not destroy ride quality if they are not overly heavy and you don't run skinny stretched tires.

To the OP, I like them, but you do seem to be being a bit touchy about the weight question?

It's a sensible question, based on my first sentence above.

Cheers, and nice car too.... white is smart ;)

Yeah, because wheel weight is so very random and completely irelevant to ride and comfort.

If you want to build yourself a poster worthy car more power to you, no need to get defensive. You can tell already I'm not the only one who thinks that.

Enjoy your new "boots"!

Im ever so sorry, i still don't see relevance, iv bought the wheels, if i cared how much the weighed i wouldn't of bought them or if quality of comfort was an issue i would of gone and bought a elegance.

People have there opinions, i wouldn't say I'm touchy, just don't see why people need to comment negative comments.

It is irrelevant to my post regarding picking my new wheels that iv bought.

For the guns, no need for scales haha

Boots?

BOOTS?!

How dare you! They are definitely more like trainers.

Was going to say, chavvy trainers for a young chav :)

Ironically trainers are more comfortable though!

Did you order the xtreme wheels via Rainworth?

No, bought the car from there sister company, and was told id get 20% staff discount as part of my purchase then turned around and said they could only do 10% so £207 each, but rang around and paid £200 each from another local dealer

Where did you purchase from then? And would you mind passing the details.

Thanks

800 pounds................that's about 57st 2lbs................that's really, really heavy

I know, almost as heavy as me, my mk2 was on its a**e on the way back with them. It is expensive for a set of wheels cause tyres which i think iv got cheap at £620 but it will be different to a lot of them out there and iv got the stock set of wheels and i thought it finished the car of nicely when i saw them at goodwood.

As I said, they are personally not my thing, mainly because the price of 19" tyres is ridiculous compared to 18"

I think you also need to take on board that on such a large forum not everyone is going to agree with you, so you have to take the rough with the smooth, and if people don't like them they'll say so

I love these wheels!! :)

Would look **** on your old man superb Leon! ;)

Yes £50 extra per corner is not cheap. But personally and again is my opinion i would of had serious doubts as to whether to buy the octavia with the standard wheels as i think the body is too big for them. But saying that the black 18" pictoris wheels is it, that are on a few cars do look lovely, but i have black wheels now and they show swirls too easily (sad i know).

Thats the issue with forums a lot of opinions are flying around which is fair enough as everyone has there own opinion, but I'm a believer of if you've got nothing nice or complimentary to say don't say anything and thats what i try to do.

I apologise for snapping everyone.

If anyone is interested in these a few dealers i phoned didn't have a clue what they were and couldn't find a part number so here it is:

Lol :)

You've hit the nail on the head, there are many opinions that make up a forum.

You bought the wheels purely for the cosmetic value, and why not, they look great on the white vRS estate pictured, but others will want to take into consideration things such as ride quality, tyre price, how the weight of the wheel affects handling etc.

Just because someone asks you a question that is not relevant to you, it does not automatically follow that the question is not relevant to them or the many other forum users.

A forum is a place to exchange views and information, that's what forum means. If it was just a place to post "look at my new.....aren't they/isn't it great", it wouldn't be called a "forum", it would be called a "gloat".

Nothing to do with whether I agree or not with the OP's choice of wheel as it is a personal opinion and I pleased the OP has purchased wheels that he likes.  However, as I do care about keeping unsprung weight as low as possible I would really like to know how much each of the wheels weigh.  I would be grateful if the OP could actually weigh one of the wheel and post the result.

They'd look nice on my S3. With Audi centre caps of course.

And a bargain price too, £800 wouldn't buy 2 of my OE wheels.

To the OP, What's the offset please. I have fairly big brakes to

allow for.
