Anyone used this site to buy their car?

Featured Replies

Just received my email quote from skodastore.com of £20,103 for a standard VRS 2.0 TDi.

Yet to discover what happens with trade in and options and what finance deal applies though.

Please keep us up to date as I pointed a work collegue to Skodastore after reading the above posts suggesting there was 12% discount on top of the free servicing and free loan but apparently the discount he was offered was nothing like that. :(

Carfile got me about 5% off, plus 0% financing and 3 years free servicing.

I spoke to Jonathan yesterday. Seems like a nice chap, nothing like a 'Swiss Tony' I got 5% off via my dealer though, that was by the way of extras. I don't think there's much in it at the moment.

Indeed - but you won't get the 0% PCP on that. If you are buying cash then that's fine.... I've not used these sites, but did use them to get a better deal at my local dealership

I made a significant saving on this site AND got 0% pcp, fully loaded vrs that one of my good mates who is a sales rep couldn't get close to price wise and we kept the servicing offer too. They wouldn't all do it, but this one would and we're chuffed to bits. Just have no idea when to expect it yet. Was ordered just over a week ago. No front radar or pano roof though!

Who was your dealer? Rainworth Skoda has phoned me but I was busy with work and am waiting on return call now.

Alex Lawrie - don't get me wrong, it's nothing like you'd get for a cash deal as others mention above, but no other dealer came close for the spec. Rep's name was Mike and the sales guy dealing with us now is Gerry.

I placed an order through Simpsons of Colne to be honest not a great deal at all, but used carwow last night and even if i lost my £500 deposit i am still about £800 better off the quote is by  Alex Lawrie Skoda Liverpool.

Anyhow i phoned Simpsons and told them i was thinking of cancelling my order, my salesman phoned me on his day off and said they will try work out a better deal.

And they are still happy to give the 0% finance?

And they are still happy to give the 0% finance?

Yes 0% over 3 years

I'd take them up on that offer then :D

It's only fair i give Simpsons a chance, and of course try not to lose my £500 deposit, but i guess ultimately if they cannot or will not match it or even offer me a better deal then i guess it would be silly not to go with them.

The car i ordered from Simpsons isn't confirmed as yet so i guess the order could still be modified to reflect the higher spec.
