Low call quality over HF

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I have recently bought Superb II 2011. Very happy with it except the BT Handfree. When I pair my Samsung SIII with car Bluetooth (Bolero radio), all works fine, but when I call the other person complains about call quality. Poor sound, more like I am talking to microphone of the actual phone not to car microphone.

Anyone has idea how to fix it?

thanks

Starting point for me would be to find out which mic is active. Get a mate with a mobile to come with you, connect the BT and ring them as they stand outside the car. Then gently with a coin or finger nails tap your phone...and then tap the centre roof light box (which houses the car mic). As they can watch you, they can work out which mic is active (responds to the tap which they hear). If it is you phone mic which is active still, it's a BT fault or a Samsung setting. If the car mic is active, keep the line open, and ask them to sit in your car and talk while you listen on the mobile. You can then tell if it is actually muffled, in which case either a bit of padding has fallen over the mic, or it's a faulty mic. Either way you can take the central light housing off and look...instructions elsewhere on the forum. For what it's worth I have Galaxy Note 2, and Columbus and sound quality both way is superb.

Very good advice.

I can also vouch for the quality of HPF BT and a Galaxy S3. Blows my old parrot system in the Octavia out of the water.

thanks Brockysuperb. I will try that.

I was looking for any settings on my Samsungs but couldn't see anything related to this. How do I change from the phone mic to car mic?

thanks
