FL Octavia Vrs Tdi estate

Thought I'd put a little bit of history up of the last 8 weeks ownership of my octy.

When I first picked it up from Plymouth and brought it home to Nottingham.

Then started adding some of my own little touches;

New wheels

With awesome sealent

K&N induction kit

And a matte black wrapped grill

Also lowered the front a bit, generally levelled it out and got a few more bits coming in the next few weeks like a DPF delete and some interior touches.

Cheers guys, the first ones didn't fit the best, rubbed the rear arch so no good to me! But always like to add my own touch too!

Sounds great, turbo feels much more responsive and the noise is pretty addictive.

Sold I'm afraid

Nice looker and in the Proper Colour

The best colour, when I saw it I knew I had to have it. Plus it's hard to lose in a car park which is a bonus.

Definitely. Like others I prefer the first set of wheels, rubbing or not.

Stunning car! Love the first wheels   Any more pictures to show the new ones off a bit more and the new ride height? Are they 19's?

I pick up my vrs fl c r estate on Tuesday in silver. Just weighing up what I want to do to it. Had my fabia lowered and it did make the ride a bit rough. Was going to leave this one standard but the more I see estates like yours dropped the more it tempts me. How low was it? What did it drive like?

It's pretty tough to get a good pic of the wheels cos they don't reflect any light back to the camera! And yeah they are 19's.

The car rides pretty well on the coils but I've not got the standard ride to compare it to as bought it on them. Always had lowered cars tho so pretty used to it now.

The ride height is 3 turns from the bottom with the helpers in, so pretty low but can get over speed bumps no bother. Have the off problem with the splitter on drop curbs tho.

And add a new downpipe, first on a car in the country as far is I'm aware. Especially as they aren't released until Monday!!

Was the best money ever spent on the car, teamed with the map, exhaust and cone makes such a difference.

It roars like flip and shifts like a petrol turbo! Will have to get a vid up soon

AWESOME! Love the look of that down pipe, i'm eagerly awaitin some videos

Hopefully get some gopro action up soon.

These arrived today to help fix my massive front camber, seems I've ruined a pair of tyres with excessive camber in a few weeks, not good.

Hopefully get em on ASAP, then some big grippy front tyres will be on the agenda.

Got it off eBay, it's a K&N Typhoon Induction Kit (69-9756TFK)

In short, they are amazing.

Also my eibach roll bars, anti lift kit and poly dogbone mount also turned up today.

All in all, good day all round :)

And here's the anti lift kit and dogbone bush, rollbars are in the garage. Not really room in the house lol

null_zpscf4ac3f8.jpg

What shore rating is the Superpro dogbone bush? Might end up with a lot of vibration! I've got the Powerflex 65 shore dogbone bush insert, yet to fit it though.

Good call with the anti-lift kit. Let us know what it's like once fitted. I've got the same but again yet to get it fitted.

What roll bars did you get?

The seats are a masterpiece!!!

Those would be my choise too if i had the money to buy :giggle:

Not sure on the rating of the bush, hopefully it's not too aggressive as it's a daily driver. Hope to have it all on in the next week or 2 as needs some tyres so may as well get it aligned after all is fitted.

I went for the eibach bars, just because of the reputation of the brand more than anything and that I got a great deal on the 3 items from the same place. Plus they have got some right girth, 26mm front and 23mm rear.

And the seats are perfect, Everytime I look at the car I just want to get in and drive! They were expensive, but a great investment.
