Have you painted them or did they come green?????

I painted them.

They do look nice :)

Have you tried them out yet? They get a hell of a lot better once the pads have bed in :D

Nah, saving myself for later - let the trafic die down a bit.

They do look nice though.

Those people buying them from Steve (GolfTurbo) should get the TT 225 hoses with them, I would recommend you use them as the originals seemed a bit tight. The TT ones also have extra sleeves that you can slide along to the rubbing points.

Ive allways found the original pipes to be just fine. Once they are on they dont stretch. Also the flexis shouldnt rub anyhow.

That said they look very nice :)

I could have made do with the original ones but as I had the TT ones here it was no problem. The caliper did seem to pull it a bit tight and it would have rubbed a little on a bracket that sticks out from the strut.

Just been for a spin and they do feel nice, can't go too mad as they are new discs but I can still notice a change. Barely any pedal travel at all, very nice.

Forgot to add that getting the original disks off was a bit tight. They were well wedged on, I sprayed a small amount of WD40 in the wheel bolt holes which seeped down behind the disk and onto the hub, left it for 10 mins and then gave them a good whack with the hide mallett.

The pipe should be clipped into the strut with the horseshoe shaped clip.

Another satisfied customer for a pioneering mod :D

just a quick note.. you may find that the car is a bit figety under braking for a couple of weeks after they have bedded in, the brake bias electronic stuff will sort itself out eventually. :)

Very nice too

Thanks Colin

What paint did you use, it's a good match!

GREEN :) with envy, thats my next mod wish. ( FINAL )

Is this Hammerite craze ok for Calipers? I know real brake caliper paint is obviously made to copwe with the hight temperatures etc. But does the Hammerite hold it's own?

Anyone done it a while ago and can comment? Brakes should arrive Wednesday and I want them green. Do I pay lots and get dedicated caliper paint or go for the Hammerite?

Looks Excellent BTW, hope mine can look that professional!

I have done lots of them, John's must have been a year ago and his looked fine at the track day :)
