Valeo are French and hence tend to appear on Peugeot, Citroen and Renault.

Were Valeo wipers every fitted by VAG from the factory?

I fitted a set of Valeo blades to my old Peugoet 306 (non-aero type) and they performed very well.

I've only used either genuine Skoda or Bosch (I think the Bosch blades are the same as genuine Skoda anyway?) blades on the Octavia but they have been long lasting.

Might try a set of the Valeo's and see how they compare...

Recently fitted Valeo from CarParts4 Less, cost about £16, work very well and have used them several times.

However, seeing this post, just ordered for stock my £10.99 next set!!!

Every little helps!

Just ordered a pair too!

Thanks for the info, order placed!

Well they arrived...

Is it me they don`t look to fit as snug to the wiper arm as the ones that came off?

Seem to work fine

make sure you fit them the right way up - some packs instructions seem to be for left hand drive cars

recieved all 3 in thepost yesterday and fitted, very smooth , no noise and clear screen. thanks

I'm so glad i got mine yesterday......fitted, far better looking than the Bosch i had. Silent......Well done to the OP....

Just fitted mine too, too under a minute and so far so good. Annoyingly on the fronts turned up, hoping the rear follows shortly. The Valeo logo is a little obvious, not a fan of obvious branding but that's just me being OCD!

Also fitted my Osram Nighbreaker Plus H1 bulbs too, looks loads better, bargain from Amazon too:

Defo worth a tenner!

Received all 3???

Did you do the Amazon £10.99 delivered offer. Mine was the Amazon and it was for a pair VM310, which arrived today.

Have I missed a trick?

Regards

No the 3rd was the rear one at £4.99, still a good price. I'm sure that's what he means :)

Just incase anyone needs to replace their flat wipers, I found genuine valeo front wiper set for £10.99 and free delivery. Just search on Amazon for VM310 and bingo, sold by euro car parts (they are nearly £30 if you go to euro car parts shop to buy them)

Sounds like a bargain.  Do they come with a bagful of adapters to enable them to be fitted to a number of vehicles or do they just slide onto the wiper arms straight out of the box?

Thanks!!

Got mine yesterday, what a bargain !

bargain and the nightbreakers which is H1 the main beam?

They don't have any adaptors, they fit straight on.

H1 are main beam.

H1 are main beam.

Its says H7 on ECP when i put my reg in no mention of H1 though?

Thanks again to OP, mines arrived today, BARGAIN.

H7 are dipped beam, H1 are main beam - for an Octavia Mk2 without factory-fitted xenon (HID) headlights.

Mines an Octy Mk II (56) vRS with factory Xenons. But the Xenons are only the dipped, full beam is halogen, aka H1 bulb. Felt full beam was terrible on night time drives so bought the above bulbs which were a doddle to fit even though I do have Xenons and now is loads better and brighter :)

No adaptors. Exactly like the originals - put wipers in service position (vertical), pull arms off windscreen, turn wiper blade about 90 degrees on its pivot and it just pulls off - fit new one in reverse order.

Woo7dy

I've got exactly the same problem on my 2012 Vrs Octy hatch lights are factory xenons but they are only dipped beam. As you have said full beam is terrible Probably made to look even worse by the fact that I have xenons on dipped. So could you tell me what bulbs you got to replace the dull full beam ones and the best place to get them from

Thanks in advance

Paul
