Show me your uprated brakes

Featured Replies

How much should I be expecting to pay for some LCR Brembo's?

about 4-500 depending on condition, and a bit more if decent pads are fitted

I'm liking the look of the D2s...

Did you get or get fade on the track?

I'm thinking of steering away from brembos..I have hade fade with them before, and don't want to buy twice..

No fade, but their first outing I was pushing the same amount of brake pedal but sometimes getting only half the braking power.  It concerned me initially.  But the second session I got much better pedal feel and reliable hard braking.

No fade at all, but I'm probably at the limit of how quick the tyres can actually stop. :D  I got the odd bit of ABS intrusion too.

What kind of brake feel do you get on the streets with these D2's? Compared to the stock brake and 2 piston calipers would you say its a vast improvement for street drive or only when it is warmed up and pushed hard? My current brakes do not provide that much of initial bite with Hawk HPS and steel braided lines and slotted rotors (288mm)

I am concerned as I cannot find many reviews on D2 on Octavia's. Any input would help as I am about to buy them in a day or so , hence deciding between this and Porsche 993 brakes.

hawk hps - there's you're problem

better than red stuff, but not by much

ds2500 much better for uk temps

Are people using the ds2500 on the road?

Haven't seen many swapped out, but websites suggest they aren't road approved?

Yeah that's stays a little quiet. I believe after a certain car year a pad must meet a certain standard which the 2500's don't. So on a 106 gti their road legal but are cars their not.

Still a good pad, I'd certainly use again.
