Either September or October should be possible. Agreed I'd like to include the trip to the Czech republic is possible.

Were there any thoughts of tying this in with a trip to the Skoda Factory i.e. 20/21 Sep at the Ring and then onto the Czech Republic for a factory tour and then home? 

 

Given Prague/Mlada is another 1000 mile round trip further than the Ring I doubt it.  I am still well up for a trip around this "green hell" focused period of 4+ full days open.  It will sure be busy though!

Take sackful's of Euro's then as a single lap is €27 although you can get discounts for buying multiples!, from experience 1-day maybe 2 at the Green Hell is enough for most people.

We stayed at the hotel fuchsrohre (likely spelt wrong) who is an excellent host and very good for Ring fans.   Nice PS3 setup there too for multiplayer

For anyone interested the Nurburgring has today been sold to Capricorn a German automotive part manufacture for 100 million euros.

Thank the lord the Americans didn't get hold of it.

Capricorn make this cool stuff.

From what i've read it's a good thing. The guy (Adam Osieka) who will head 'Capricorn Nurburgring' is a keen VLN racer and runs workshops making engine parts within a earshot of the track. This means they love the ring unlike the last owners. 

They plan on moving the silly rollercoaster to another town and scrapping the ring card among other things.

I'm definitely coming up on Sunday to the ring seing as though I'll only be about 40kms away.

 

Planning on doing a lap or two aswell.

I really need to stop watching Nurburgring videos on youtube now...

 

I'm going from really excited to scared! lol

 

I'll probably be spending most of my time towards the right of the track with my indicator on! lol

You'd be surprised that you probably won't, if you pick the right time.

 

My last and first visit I basically only got over taken a few times, most of which are bikes and they are f-kin crazy people. They will over take on the bend, I've had a few skid mark moments with them!! (and I don't mean left by the car!!)

 

But you do need to keep a eye on your rear view mirror because they approach very very quickly!

One taster lap with me and you'll be alright.

 

Still looking for one/two people to come on our trip.  Have a spare spot in cabin.  Only £140 for a twin/double room 3 nights.

Yeah I think I'll feel better once I've gone round to get a feel for it etc.

 

Any ideas where you guys will be hanging around on the Sunday?

I was in my fabia mk1 vRS then, so yes a little more oomph than 105bhp.

 

The first few laps are the worse, after the first lap I thought, what the hell am I doing!!! This is crazy!!

 

^^^^^ that price is very good and I would so very much like to join, but sadly cannot.
