Hello. Just a quick one. I have a fabia 1.9 tdi elegance. Does the glove box light stay on permanently.

Only while the ignition is on, but that's because my switch is broken like yours.

Got a small digital camera? Turn it to video. Stick it in the glove box pointing at the light. Start recording. Close glove box. Open glove box. Stop recording. Replay recording. And the answer in your car is or :sun: .

Now smile happily or order new switch dependant on your answer.

I've always wondered about this with fridges? Does it stay on when the door's shut or not? I try and open it slightly but then the light's on. I close it gently but then it gets darker and darker so the light must be off, surely? Maybe the seal is blocking the light, so again, I gently open the door and 'voila'! the light IS on. But is it on when I shut the door I ask again. I've spent many a night trying various fridge doors to answer the question, to no avail :(

 

 

To answer, the bloody light goes off when you close the glove box FFS, it has a friggin switch

Lol regarding the fridge issue, why didn't u just use ur finger and press in the botton/trigger thing at the edge of the fridge door which gets pushed in when the fridge door closes.    Thats an hour of ur live u'll never see again!
