I take it you had undone the screw before beating the disc off?

I was thinking that but thought it was a pretty obvious thing you need to do before beating ten sides of 5hit out of it. :)

It may have been a silly question, but some of the things you see in a dealer would shock you. And thats just the mechanics..lol

Look good Jon ;)

I have a Q.. Whats the clearance between caliper and 16" alloy there? It does look "bugger tight" to use a technical engineering term. :D

Theres plenty (Octavia vRS Estate uses 16" wheels remember).

 Yep. Just curious if we're talking mm, or 2 or 3 cm? I guess when the wheel is round, there's little difference between 2mm clearance and 2" clearance eh? ;) "miss is as good as a mile" :D

Just a smidgin more than fag paper clearance :D

well, just enuff to get balancing weights into the middle of the wheel.:)

Looks good Jon. I especially like the nice clean jar for the brake fluid :P

I would slide the rubber sleave up to the possible chaffing area shown in the picture.

Just make sure you line the up straight when you put them back on again, because if you cross the threads, you need a whole new hub assembly.

Speaking from experience...

In reality there's about 10mm clearance between the caliper & inside of alloy, but if you have a weight stuck on around that area it's much less.
