What is a MIB Columbus

Featured Replies

I see Navteq allow free download of map updates for the MIB Columbus whatever that is...

  1. Is this a completely new head unit?
  2. Or is it a totally new OS for the existing RNS510 head unit?

Here's the link.

It's neither, Gavn. It's a piece of software that could get you into more trouble than you could ever imagine. MIB - doesn't it ring a bell? MIB - Will Smith?

Please tell me you haven't downloaded it. If you have, then there is no point in running; they'll be at your door before I've even hit send. If up until this point you haven't believed that there is anything out there, then from this evening, that will all change.

But seriously - sorry, Gav. I don't have a clue what the MIB reference means..

Its a different design of Columbus for the Mk3 Octavia and maybe the newer shspe Superb?? It works quite differently to the RNS510 I believe.

Definitely not on the FL Superb as I have one and it came with the existing RNS510 which was a bit of a ****er.
