Kudos for having the nuts to go for it. Brave choice and different. Looks superb. Enjoy!

Love it!!!!

Certainly distinctive!

I like it as it'll stand out from the huge number of boring coloured mk3s we'll see on the roads in a few years.

Shame they don't do matched trim on the seats, rather than the red flashes.

Awesome, looks great.  B)  (even better as a hatch)

Superb looking car, well done! :)

Looks great!

BUT

Please please please lose those hideous RAC and AA badges!!

Fantastic!! B)B)

Be difficult to nick.

Lovely car!  You were very lucky to get it back.  I'm still annoyed they removed that fantastic colour from the Octavia colour options.

I quite like it in one way and hate it in another. It's a bit like the Meteor Grey, in that it's a colour I quite like but not sure I could live with everyday.

i love unusual colours, this probably much rarer than grey, i have grey and its easy to live with i think some of the nicest Audi's and Porsche's are in Nardo Grey,

You are so lucky to find and buy it back. I wonder how many other folk would buy one of their old cars back if the chance arose.

I have a few regrets and lucky escapes in equal measure....

I cant think of a car I would buy back realistically, the only car Ive gotten rid of that I didnt grow to hate was my mk3 VRS. If I won the euro millions Id buy my 2014 Leon FR back and have it crushed, Id pay extra if the supplying dealer was sat in it at the time too :D

I like a bit of colour.  Found mine very easy to live with.  Comments at the Brisky RR at JKM usually centre around it being 'bright' B):

I'd have had my 04 PD130 Bora back in a heart beat. Stupidly got rid of it thinking that the clutch/flywheel was going to cost more than it was worth. In hindsight, I bought a Hyundai Coupe (I know...) and then went back to a Fabia VRS, which despite having the same engine, was completely different in every way.

Don't say that. I'm having to put my PD130 octy for sale :crying:

The new mk2 vrs isn't quite the same beast (plus it's a DSG).

ASZ engine with the Bora manual 6 speed was mint. 700+ miles to a tank on long journeys (Newcastle to Dover and back on a single tank), shifted like poo on a stick and usually pretty reliable however my VNT was sticking and clutch/flywheel was showing signs of failure :(

My Fabia VRS had the same engine and a similar 6 speed manual but it was soooo different.

I don't do the mileage now to ever justify a diesel, let alone a 14+ year old one :(

I'm really glad we bought it back, its such an easy car to live with.

I'm looking at doing a few minor upgrades to it, mainly window tints and trying to get a alternative exhaust thats a little more lively!

Wish they still did them in sprint yellow,I would of gotten one myself! :D
