Chris, are those shot from Glacier point?

We were joking about someone climbing out onto that rock 'perch' but none of us would dare do it!

Its a long way down  :peek:

Yes. It was Glacier Point...and yes..4000' straight down!

He stayed there for ages reading a book

BTW....Possibly the most amazing view I've ever seen!

The light was perfect and not a breath of wind

Looking at all these shots - I've decided its time I started living my Bucket List before its too late......

Whatever else you think about the US - it does have some amazing scenery

Nobody has mentioned the stars. We spent a night in Lee Vining after visiting Yosemite. No light pollution at all - just mountains silhouetted by the most stars I ever saw. Love all the pix.

Hi guys!

If you go to that part of the world I could also recommend continue up north for a while into the lower part of central Oregon to Crater Lake National Park. Specially in the winter time or early spring ...

That will also give you the possibility to see the Oregon coast that in my opinion is far more beautiful than for instance HW1 (Pacific Coast Highway) between LA and San Francisco ...

I'm with you on that Anders!   In the late 70's I travelled the coast roads all the way from San Diego to Portland. Oregon coast is certainly one of the most dramatic in the world!  Definitely worth the trip.
