I'm just back from a photography trip to Yosemite. The autumn colours were amazing and we had some beautiful light. Clear blue skies made sunrise/sunset a bit less photogenic but overall we couldn't complain. Here's a selection of shots:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Wow, I'm extremely envious being as its of my favourite national parks in the US and photography is my hobby! Fantastic shots. What was your course itinerary btw? Thanks for posting.

We stayed at Mammoth mountain inn for three nights, and visited june lake, silver lake, convict lake, mono lake, intake 2 lake, bristlecone pine forest.

Then four nights in Yosemite, mainly concentrating on valley view as the light was so good. Also went to Olmsted point, Glacier point, tunnel view, tenaya lake, mariposa sequoia grove. Possibly some other places too, I'm struggling to remember them all. We fitted a lot into a week long trip and I'm still recovering

We drove from Lake Tahoe to Yosemite on the way to San Francisco back in June. Between Tahoe and Yosemite on California HY89 you suddenly arrive at a panoramic view of Mono Lake.
