OK, the red light is the TV (standby?). What's the green light below it? Also, what are the reflections in the TV screen? (greenish dot in the top left corner, some sort of pinkish line below it). There's more to this pic than meets the eye!

I'm was going to say that that large whitish blobs that are sort of rectangular near the bottom right hand side are the flash from your camera phone?

I reckon it's just one of those eye-candy shows of the world of science. Very neat.

Wonderful thing about camera's is they capture all manner of reflective and refractive effects of light and particles that our eyes either can't see, or process out....

When you say the tv remote, were you pressing it at the time? and the pink blobs are the ir signal?

whatever it is, its a wierd, strange and impressive picture. You could take out the red light, the other non pink light, and put it on the mini forum as wallpaper.

I thought the picture was an exploding tube of pink smarties.Obviously more technical than that

Its your remote control, the infrared shows up purple/white on cameras. You were evediently waving it around at the time, the infrared is pulsed.
