hi, could someone please give me some help before i start dismantling the suspension,on a trip out this morning, id driven about 30 miles when there was a slight squeaking noise as if one of the wheels was binding, then the steering wheel started to vibrate and the car started pulling to one side,, it felt just like having a flat tyre, i pulled over had a look round but could see nothing, i set off again and after a few seconds everything returned to normal, drove a further ten miles and everything was okay, then all of a sudden the steering wheel started vibrating again and pulling to one side, drove back home another 45 mile and everything was ok, anyone any ideas what i could be looking for  ,driveshaft / track rod end ?

Jack up and spin the wheels to see if a brake is binding. Get some one press the brake pedal to see if the brake comes on and the moves off. Check for any freeplay in driveshafts and steering etc.

When did you change your brake fluid last time? What about your power steering fluid?

Have a look in HERE too.

I would suggest a CV joint is on the way out. I had exactly the same symptoms on my old Favorit a few years ago.

definitely sounds like a binding brake caliper
