Black vRS Tsi Hatch

Featured Replies

A long wait is almost to an end :)

Ordered it in July and now it has arrived at my dealer. Went pass today and it was parked nere the fence, so I could get a picture.

Just a question of how many days they will need to get it ready for me...

Nice to see Black with the black pack on it. A choice that's very Marmite but one I've gone with also for my vRS estate.

Congrats and looking forward to seeing more photos.

LOL

Is the black pack cheaper on a black car seeing as you only get the grille and not the mirrors?

See you opted for the taxi pack as well with the white roof & bonnet  :giggle:

Black pack is free of charge, atleast here in Sweden.

Nice!

Like it...I've actually changed to black on black from white/ black pack as soooo many white ones being ordered...just remember all those cheap white Renault Clio 192 for sale on autotrader and pistonheads....not helped that I've not seen either in the flesh so we shall see....sadly mines an estate so the hearse analogy gets worse lol...

Hi all, reading through this thread, I have the same kind of dilemma. I'm torn between Black metallic or Red Corrida in petrol hatch form. I'm definitely going with the black pack and sunset glass with the anthracite alloys. Can anyone give me a thumbs up or down on which one to go for? Currently I'm in a 2010 vRS hatch in Silver, so a bold statement is needed!!

Go with Black,it will match your" Men in Black" look!!

Just view the Black estate posted last week-looks great but need regular TLC too see it at it's best.

Very cool! B)

Cheers guys!, I'm now going off the black as I did have a black ST years ago and it was a pain to keep clean, so I'm moving towards blue or green! Nightmare at decision making!

Gotta be green then if you want more exclusivity as Race blue is another one of those "common" choices.

I'm lovin' being a commoner, the colour makes me smile when all around me is a sea of white, black and grey! Not seen any race blue vRS's yet, only seen one other race blue Eleg in the flesh on the road in over 5 months of ownership so far so perhaps it will still be quite exclusive on the vRS at least!

Have had it for a couple of days now and must say it really is a much better car then the mark 2.

Better handling and comfort. The canton stereo sounds great aswell.

I have owned 4 black cars (including company cars) and all have been involved in incidents in the first 6 months of ownership

Black Sierra XR4x4 for just over 3 years and 90K-odd miles  -  1987-1990

Debris fell off truck in front of me on motorway

New front moulding, front wings, headlamps, bonnet and windscreen

Been stopped at traffic lights for a few seconds and then hit up rear

New rear moulding, lights and hatch.

Black Cavalier Sri for just over a year - 1991

When travelling around a roundabout a car joining the r-ab failed to stop at the give way line and ran into the side of the SRi.

New front passenger door and straightening of B-pillar

Less than 2 weeks after above repair a cow ran onto side of car when I was stopped on the local common.

New windscreen, front wing and front passenger door + straightening of  A-pillar.

Black A4 1.8T Sport for just over 5 months (including replacement car)  - 2002-2003

On a very wet day waiting to join a roundabout above a motorway and truck ran into rear

Car replaced by leasing company with exact same model (still black)

A 4x4 ‘ran away’ down a steep drive and into the A4 which was parked in friend’s drive across the road.

A4 was rammed into a garage wall (which partially collapsed) so extensive front AND rear damage

I was working out my notice and left company less than 2 weeks later so that was the last I saw of that car.

Black Skoda vRS since late June 2013

29/10 - Attacked by fly away gazebo

Scratched rear quarter panel and wheel arch

Friday 01/11 - Reversed into in Tesco car park

Rear moulding scratched, bodywork panel around boot opening deformed so that water leaks into boot.

The vRS may be my last black car!  Previous seven years with a silver Civic with no incidents.

The above incidents actually span over 26 years.

So my advice would be go for RED (or any other colour) just not BLACK.

Black Triumph Spitfire - killed in a workplace fire

Black Escort Mk3 - rolled it into a ball

Black Renault 5 Turbo - stolen

Black Puma - company car, made redundant

Black Clio 172 - incident free

Black vRS Estate - on order but big delay

There have been other cars in different colours but I cannot recall any incidents with them. You may have a point!

That's exactly how I'd want mine. Black hatch with black pack. Utterly stunning mate

Red with black detailing on a car always looks good IMHO.

Black cars do look good if you have the time and inclination to keep them looking immaculate.

Now I've got the winterwheels.

Went for 17" rims with Goodyear Ultragrip Ice+ 205/50-17
