Wing mirror down lights

Featured Replies

i have them on my lk octavia

I have them. Cannot remember them ever being any use. I suppose if I ever parked in a farm yard at night in the rain they would be a boon.

I have them too... replaced the original bulbs with leds...they look kinda cool :)

My Octi doesn't seem to have anything like it, other than the indicators.

Possible to retro fit maybe? Or even the wing mirrors from another which has them?

I have them on my o8 elegance. think they are brillient , richard wait till you drop something getting in or out of the car on a dark night , saves a lot of cursing. by the way they are called ''puddle lights''

I suspect it depends on the door controllers whether they can be retrofitted. The wiring for all the mirror functions connects to them in each door.

I have them on my Scout, and they are one of the best things ever. When parking in my unlit garage they light up either side of the car and garage to see what I'm doing, when parking in dark rural areas I can see what I'm walking on as I approach the car, and they highlight puddles etc. I would not be without them now. And I'd love to find out more about replacing them with LEDs...

i thought puddle lights were the ones in the bottom of the door cards?

They can be Ryan, but not in the case of the Octy2.

As Mike says, they're standard on the Elegance and L&K. I find them useful as well, I must say. They also work in conjunction with the light sensor, so they only illuminate on unlock if it's dark.

I kept with a standard W5W bulb instead of LED, but swapped the OEM ones for some Bluevisions :)
