October orders got already build week?

Featured Replies

9th October - Vrs hatch , confirmed January second-third week

If you've ordered the petrol version, prepare to be very disappointed. I ordered mine early September and was told it would be delivered by the end of January. Just heard today that there is a production delay and it won't be delivery till mid March earliest!

  • ordered beginning of Oct. provisional build date has been set to week 2 (pushed back from week 50)

  • Ordered 19th of October and got confirmed build week 49! I'm picking it up in 2 or 3 weeks time!   Was told at the time of order I'll have to wait until end of March because of some options like pan

  • Wow, that's quick! Very nice Christmas present

I ordered 14th Oct, accepted at factory, no build date yet.

Could live with delay into March as the current car is working and I'd like some of the money spent on repairs back through use. However, if the O3 Scout is released within two months of me receiving the car I'll be a bit miffed as I'm sure a from stock standard spec Scout would be fine in that case, without the current long wait being experienced for my selectively specced up SE 4x4.........

Concern for me with the Scout may be the price. Can see it being at least 2k more than my reasonably optioned SE 150 4x4 order, which is beyond the budget. Also quite like idea of the stealth quattro look, with a subtle ride height increase with the RRP option.

Indeed, all valid points, and exactly why I'm very happy with my choice thus far. After 5.5yrs of joyous ownership (and 6 months of mechanical purgatory) I'm just a sucker for plastic cladding and faux aluminium undertrays moulded into the bumpers!

Back on track, I will undoubtedly be pleased as punch when it arrives as it will do everything the current car does (including the off tarmac excursions) but with sharper looks, better economy, better performance, smarter gadgets and a warranty. Brilliant! Plus I picked the colour and it'll be my first truly new car.

I blame the long wait for giving me too much thinking time!

Guys! I have just got a phone call from my dealer. My beauty has just arrived after 8 weeks, and 2 days.

Ordes was placed 2nd October.

Will pick it up the week after next week.

Race blue hatch VRS TDI DSG

It was a big surprise even for the dealer. I didn't have any confirmed build date before...

Tommorow I will take some pictures and will post.

Can't wait..............

What dealer in Devon if you don't mind me asking?

It wasn't a Devon dealer. We use Blades in Gloucester a fleet provider.

Ordered 8th October and just been given a provisional B/W 13. I am in no rush and have waited much longer for quota-restricted cars in the past. At least the weather will be better and I will be able to bribe the kids into washing the thing.

*VRS TSI Manual Estate

*Race Blue (concession to the wife - she wanted a blue one)

*Black Pack

*Sunset Glass

*Spare Wheel (most important add-on)

*Anthracite Gemini's

Ordered 2nd October. No build week given expect my expected delivery date of delivery the 20th December still stands according to the dealer! I The last up date I got was around the 22nd so I think they're being a tad optimistic to get the car from the continent to me if they can't even confirm it's being built!!

While I'd like the car I spent a bit of money taxing and MOTing my current car so will just get some pay back out of that while I'm waiting.

Ordered 14th October - alleged build week of Week 2, 2014 - should be incoming to the Dealership early to mid February.

We shall see.............

Just as well I have the distraction of Christmas and Company year-end to keep me more than busy!!

Niall

Good to hear you have a provisional Niall.

Be interesting to see where mine pops up as we have ordered 3 days apart and both 150 4x4. Although I will not hear about mine until Christmas, as the sales chap dealing with my order is away on leave and then training for 3 weeks; last I heard though no build allocated.

I ordered at the end of Septamber and do not have a build week

9th October - Vrs hatch , confirmed January second-third week

Today I went to the dealer, and I have a confirmed delivery in the second week of January.

This is week 49...

my one set to be built week 51 suk tells me.. but dealer told me week 50

leaving factory 2 day before Christmas..

by the time is arrives into the dealership in Kent and gets checked etc

i will hope to pick it  up 1st week of Jan ..

I have ordered a 1.2 TSI Elegance Estate on 19.10.2013, and the dealer still cannot give me any information on the build date.

I was hoping for delivery in January, but as the time goes by, it seems unlikely.

I hope your dealer is right. I can't remember reading about dealers and SUK disagreeing about dates.

Just off the phone to Skoda UK a provisional build week of 15 for me not a good place to be especially when the car was accepted by the factory on the 13th of October.

I know it can change but i wasn't expecting that, on a plus point they said they would loan me a car after i had been waiting 18 weeks so only 10 weeks to go for my loan car......

Was it SUK who agreed the loan car or your dealer? The tax on my car that I'm trading in expires before my new VRS is predicted to appear and I don't feel inclined to shell out 250 quid extra...

It was Skoda, they said if you are waiting more than 18 weeks for your car then it's officially classed as being delayed and they will then look to providing you with  a loan car.

& all credit to the guy i was speaking to at Skoda he phoned back after a chat with Skoda Retail Support to explain that my car won't be built anywhere near week 15, he said that was used as some kind of holding pattern for the factory, so still no wiser...

TDI Elegance Estate Sunset Glass. Got a call from my dealer to tell my the status has been changed to shipped! Expects it to land in uk early next week and to be with us before Christmas. If that happens it will be pretty much spot on the 15 weeks quoted. They have called me every couple of weeks to keep me informed as well.

Dealer just phoned.

Good news he said your car is confirmed for week 11, until i quizzed him a little further it turns out that the week 11 is also a provisional build week, oh well at least it's heading it the right direction it was week 15.

Apparently the delays are due to, Black roof rails, gemini anthracite alloys, and lane assist..

I've just been informed that my SE 4x4 has slipped from a quoted January collection date to sometime in March :S

Ordered 11th October, end of week 41/13.

  • 3 weeks later...

Got board of waiting for the dealer to get back to me on an update and caved in to ringing SUK :giggle:

Confirmed week 03/14 apparently :)

So just a question of whether the dealer will insist we take it on arrival early in Feb or gives us an opportunity to wait two or three weeks for 1st March :wonder:

My contract said that I needed to collect ten days after it was 'ready'. However, I'm sure given the time we wait for them there is flexibility.

It can take 3 weeks to arrive to your dealers from the factory

all depend on if there is a backlog at port of Emden

That be almost March & 14 plate for you....

my one has been was built 17th Dec still at Emden waiting for shipping..!!  :wonder:

Im in the same boat,aweek3build,told the dealer that il walk away if pressurised into taking the car 2weeks before the plate change, asmy agreement for delivery was 12 weeks,iv not paid a deposit so i had nothing to loose, also there will come a cut off date in feb when they stop issuing 63 plates, mine now agreed with dealer for march delivery, even though its got a personal plate,im just thinking of when i come to sell it
