Couldn't resist making the most of the lovely weather on the weekend, taking more pictures of my VRS. My son wanted a bit of the action in the last photo with his VVTLI Celica. (Sorry).

The wheels are ace hero 18" with 245/45-18 nokia Hakka 8.

 

That's a weird tire size, for an Octavia anyway. Big difference from the standard 225/40/18.

It's standard rs suspension.

Be careful over humps & bumps when the car is loaded. The rears should be okay if you have got the offset correctly adjusted but the fronts may lack clearance if you go over a bump whilst turning, or when you are cornering very hard.

I've had mine for just over a week now - standard vRS save for Leather seats with silver stitching (sat next to its much smaller sibling):

What is the dog guard mesh in the rear.  It does not look like the factory one.  Where is it from?

It's not his car guys, lol. He just quoted Gaff's post when he presented his car.

 

That mesh guard is a factory option, I have it as well. Shouldn't really be used as a dog guard since it's a textile sort of thing, so it really can't stop a dog that wants to go through... It's more for preventing small/light items from getting into the cabin space on heavy braking.

+1 cars from Republic of Ireland and not NI which explains why its not UK spec.

Looking at 18 or 19 inch 0.05's or 0.06's on mine also, but never seen any pics of them on a MK3 yet.

Mine arrived at the dealers on Thursday. Went to have a look yesterday. Interestingly the tyres were Brdgestone Potenzas not Contis SC3's. Can't wait to pick it up in a few weeks.

Is this normal?

I didn't realise it this bad when I first looked at the VRS, seems every other car out there does well to hide this part of the car. Or am I just being a bit picky?

Completely normal, its a stonechip resistant coating and has a rough finish to it.

No probs, one of the less subtle signs of Skoda cost savings :-)
