How do I get the postcode option up on the Amundsen please?

Featured Replies

Just once when I was trying to enter a destination address my Amundsen satnav gave me the postcode option, but it wasn't obvious why! I've never managed to get to it again...please can someone put me out of my misery?

Someone on here helped me with this as well! On the navigation screen:

Select 'new destination'

Select 'town'

Press the 'Ptcd' button in the bottom left corner.

Hope this helps.

Aha! Thanks, will give it a go.

Did it work?

I'm going to drive the car tomorrow. I just looked in the Amundsen handbook and there's no mention of postcode entry at all.

Unless - "Both the house number and also a further address supplement in the form a number can be entered...." - is postcode entry.

Yes it works, and no the manual doesn't mention it! As donelegance says, it appears at the bottom of the screen when you select Town. Just another example of the inadequate Skoda documentation.

After selecting a postcode on the Amundsen does it prompt you for a house number as well? as the Columbus for some strange reason doesn't.

Sent from my phone so please excuse brevity and spelling

It doesn't appear to, just postcode.

Hell, just got soaked trying to check this and Dodgy beat me to it....  I'll back up what he said though....It doesn't.

Ok, so a backwards step from the Amundsen and Columbus in the O2.

Sounds like it Andy, fair doo's though, it got me straight to the centre of Glasgow (and a few other places) and hasn't got me lost yet.

Presuming the software is accurate enough, does it really need to ask what the door number is when using full postcode? i thought a full postcode was only shared by a handful of buildings?

A postcode is 20 or 30 max houses, I actually find the "what number" question annoying when I'm driving somewhere that doesn't have a number....

The wife's favorite is Ikea Southampton :wall: never got out of there under a grand well, at least there's loads of other women to look at even if, every second one is knocked up, at least you can have a little fun watching other people on the loading bay.  Woman say "Oh, so, 17 Billy bookcases don't fit in a nissan micra !" bloke looks like he could kill her but, doesn't say a word just, wheels his trolley off towards customer returns.

Regards

It can be handy, those horrible science park industrial estates which are a maze spring to mind
