do I need a new throttle body

Featured Replies

hello,

I justappreciated looklp with my skoda fabia classic 1.2. basicly the car became undriveable, the epc light is coming on and it was stalling it self and when it does start it revs itself between 1 and 2 thousands rpm and no throttle response. (it did happen before but I was told it was the butterfly valve was sticking so spray it with carb cleaner, did that and it's been fine for months until now :'(....) and it judders whilst driving and seems very limp. I got it scanned today and basically a list of things came up and the bloke who scanned it said I need a new throttle body. Here's two of the codes he write down that came back up straight after resetting 17967 throttle body fault, 17967 throttle activation fault. I need help with this, but I'm stuck. will a new throttle body solve these thing. I know basics but not much else.

p.s really wish i did mechanics at school

help is much appreciated
