I pick up my new car on Tuesday with the spoiler fitted I will post some pictures once I get it.

£367.50!! seems a wee bit steep to me rab.............

 The glue alone to fit the spoiler onto my Mondeo cost 98euros, when you break it down my Mondeo cost £50 (from e-bay for spoiler) 120 euros to paint it 130 euros to fit it, that's about 300 euros and I bought the spoiler cheap. If you add the full price of the spoiler to the 300 your not that far from the £362 price quoted.

Try No1 for skoda (Rainworth skoda) and ask for jonno the parts manager as he is very good.

Have you tried SkodaParts which is an arm of Bickerton Skoda in Sheffield. I was quoted £340 for rim only for a replacement Themisto Wheel and have just received a new one from them for £156 plus postage.

I change my car to the new facelift on Tue so that Themisto will be surplus if I can get a spare Trinty alloy.

i get the feeling they cannot be bothered...........

sorry I don't know the name of the glue as Ford fitted the spoiler, I was quoted 60 euros for the job until I went to pick the car up and the foreman told me that the glue alone cost 98 euros.

Completely forgot these guys, these guys are the VAG group parts arm. It is where the VW, Audi, Skoda & Seat dealers get all their parts from before adding their mark up.

 

I see you got your new motor yesterday and waiting on a quote for a wheel. If you are still in UK, go to website, put in Postcode of where you are & it'll show which branch is closest.

 

Next, call them & give them your Chassis number, & from that they bring your car up on ETKA as per your exact spec. Then ask them for a price for the Alloy. If a Dealer is asking £340, TPS might be £200-250. Seriously worth a punt thoough I don't think they do tyres. You could still ask.

 

They will even give you a delivery date when you can pick the rim up.

 

I got OEM conti headlights for my Superb 2 for £96 each after haggling with TPS in Portsouth, The dealer price was £210 each so a massive saving & only took 3 days all the way from CZ!

 

Also, you can ask for a service kit for any service your car is due. They will supply you all the OEM bits the dealer uses minus the mark up. Then you just talk labour for an hour.

I'd pop it on ebay if you want to let it go. When i was after mine i put a couple of bids on a few that had come up second hand and they ended up going for daft money, in fact more than i paid for mine brand new.....

I ask the dealer to swap my alloy and tyre that have never been on the car since new for just a new trinity alloy and he refused as he said people don't want a spare alloy. I will put it on e-bay when I get a spare for my self.
