Climate Control Botton Illumination Failure

Featured Replies

One of the buttons on the Climate Control does not light up when pressed.  The light has failed.  Just noticed and only collected it yesterday.  How big/small a job is this to fix?

Not sure, but if it's the same as most other electronic things it will probably not be cost effective to repair unless doing it yourself.

if it's still under warranty I would get the dealer to sort it if it'll bug you.

Otherwise, stick it on auto and forget about it. ;)

Might be a stupid question but does it light up if you turn the one off on the far left, the one with the person and windscreen on.

Can you have all three on at once?

Surely if this is your new F/L its a job for your Dealer ?

Congrats by the way you must be one of the 1st to pick up.

Lol. I have tested all possible options however to no avail. the screen tell me it's on. The light does not.

It is but I wanted to know the work associated with fixing the problem. Mainly what has to be replaced and what needs to be removed to allow replacement.

Not 100% sure but I would think this would mean replacing the climatronic control unit, as it's likely to be a sealed unit.

It's a LED. Unfixable. Unfortunately you'll need a new control unit.

Would take any competant mechanic 20 mins to change the control unit, take it back, get them to see the fault, and wait for the unit to arrive and rebook back in....

Wrong way round, They should observe the fault, order a new unit and then call you for a while you wait changeover.

Thank you all for the input.  I always like ot know what it takes to fix before discussing with the Dealership.
