Pics as requested. Took the pics with the same wheels and from the same angle so easier to see the difference. Putting summer wheels back on today. This is the H&R -50mm shock/spring kit and also put Whiteline RARB on too.

So thats a 30mm drop with the vrs already being lower or is it exactly 50mm? Its all so confusing. Lol get a pic on when you have your wheels back on.

Its actually a 19mm drop. It think it should drop a bit more when it settles over a few hundred miles as it should have a drop of around 30mm - 35mm on the VRS (45mm - 50mm on standard non VRS).

The ride is much better than standard. Very little rolling in the corners and smoothes out bumps better.

Looking good! Seriously need to get some 18's on mine rather than these smartie sized zeniths it's got on now!

Are those rear tints standard by any chance?

No, got them done locally. One shade below the limo tint.

The wheels look good, where did you have them done. Gun metal looks good, I had the same colour on my Audi wheels and I am getting the Octy wheels done the same.

just ordered my 30mm pi springs from ebay. £105 delivered

Good buy Mike

a few are now goin for pi. chris you could have started a pi revalution! lol

I got mine because Alan (BlueR36) recommended them after he bought them

I might save up for the shockers now to compliment them

You cant really say no at around 70 quid less then eibach or H&R when they have been recommended. Have you a RARB too chris? I have had one on for a while now. That alone made a big difference

I haven't Mike

I did think about it...but I don't do many miles these days...so its not on my priority list

Got them done at The Wheel Specialist in Edinburgh - Smoked Chrome (Fiat Grigio metallic grey).

The have branches all over the country I think.

Yeah, I had my Audi ones done at the wheel specialist in Leeds - they are good but a little expensive. I went for gun metal grey last time.

Just had an email. My pi springs i ordered are out of stock!gona have to wait a little longer

Springs arrived too late yesterday to fit them straight away, however with the weather being kind to me today they are all fitted now.

  • 3 weeks later...

having been thinking about it for a while i finally decided to call my insurance company for a quote to fit a set of lowering springs. being 19 and driving a vrs i thought they would take the opportunity to bend me over with the price but was pleasantly surprised they only wanted an extra £40!

anyway have decided to go with a set of PI 30mm springs after seeing a few guys having fitted them now (vive la revolution!). will get them fitted and post my opinions on them soon!
