Featured Replies

Actually if you search google images for "octavia vrs 50mm" you'll find his images first and third. At least I did anyway :)

Pro kit standard shocks with 15mm spacers looks good

post-42282-0-81848200-1388324009_thumb.jpg

Looks very nice alright, there's a lack of pics of VRS's with a pro kit installed! :)

What are the H&R springs like? Will they work with the standard shocks?

I only have experience of Eibach Pro kit on my astravan - 20 - 25mm drop and great to drive.

The confusion comes from the VRS already being a bit lower. I donr want to get a pro kit and fuind it only drops it 5 - 10mm. I want an actual drop of 20 - 25mm.

Does that point me to the H&R kit or will the Eibachs do?????

I will be buying a set of H&R 30mm Springs, along with a new set of 19's provisionally bought. Parts will be fitted hopefully in Jan 2014, will post pics before and after once fitted.

Eibach state 25-35mm on their website so for a vrs you can take 15mm from what either H&R or Eibach state.

The pro kit should give 15-20mm drop. The H&R 35mm kit will do the same. To get a drop greater than 20mm you will need the H&R 50mm kit.

E.g 50mm - 15mm factory drop = 35mm

At least that's my understanding!

'Tis a shame Eibach don't do a 50mm kit for the VRS, H&R haven't got the greatest of reviews in some places.

Got the factory Eibach (20mm) spring only kit on mine no issues@30k+ as yet!

On my 2010 1.6tdi Elegance model it dropped 3cm at front and 2cm at rear.

On original shocks.

That is looking good. Is that a diesel? Do you have the part number for the springs and are they any different to the ones available from Eibach?

Looks like the back is much lower than the front? Any weight in it when that pic was taken?

How do you attach a pic into the text area like above?

Car had just been emptied and cleaned and stands as seen here.

A couple of ways to attach a pic, you can go to 'more reply options' bottom right of screen and upload image direct from your pc/laptop etc or Upload image onto one of the many free image host sites such as Photobucket,Flickr etc and copy shortcut link of picture and paste into the 'image' field box at top of reply box just below smiley face.

think i have a set of  eibach springs in the shed from my vrs had koni fsd but the front went duff, will look at them and see the part no.

Found the problem with the pics - was browsing on my phone and the option is not there unless you click "full version" at the bottom of the page.

On pc now so here is a pic of our VRS with standard springs and smoked chrome wheels.

Does someone have a pic of a CR hatch with standard shocks and Eibach pro kit fitted?

It seems the pro kit springs are now only black although some were red a while ago.. I thought the red ones were the sportlines as I think they are now.

Looks really cool with that stance. Are they 19" rims?

I'm thinking I'll need spacers with my 17's for now.

They are standard 18". One got kerbed as my wife had to swerve to miss a child that ran out in front of her and she hit the kerb. We got the 4 refurbed and changed the colour.

I just want it to sit a wee bit lower to reduce the arch gap.

Sorry I just realised I got my wires crossed, I was looking at the white estate above when posting my last comment! :D Your blue one is very similar to mine now.

Anyone got a similar pic of a CR hatch with standard shocks and and Eibach pro kit for comparison??

A similar pic with Eibach pro kit and Bilsteins would also be useful.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but after talking to my local eibach stockist, he says it's not taking the VRS drop into account so looking at 15-20mm drop there!

H&R are the only other option and they offer a 50mm spring that give a 35mm drop to our cars!

not a CR, but a TSI.

Something tells me the FL version sits lower than the Pre FL with Eibach springs. Looking at a few other pics it would seem that way too!

Mine with 30mm PI Springs fitted:
