VRS CR Lowering Springs

Featured Replies

So does any 1 know if the original shocks are Bilstein b4 on the vrs? Iv looked at some shorten shocks from Germany in which i had in the past with Golf 5 40mm springs, it now makes sense from the comments why it felt like a 40mm drop but only dropped a little on the ride height. Now im looking at the Eibach 40mm springs so should drop my car about a further 25mm, the same as the golf 5 springs i had they were a cheap make as well, would H&R or Eibach give me a better ride? and my shocks have only covered 2000 miles so would they be ok with the 40mm drop?

Many thanks

I'd favour eibach, they have the best compromise of drop and ride quality! But they don't do anything more than a 30mm spring for a VRS.

As for the shocks, I don't think it's anything to do with miles at all. It's the physical size of it. If you compress the piston in the shock it will hit the bottom every time you go over a bump. Causing it to degrade much quicker than if it wasn't riding the bottom of the shock.

JR RS and ChrisRS what is the ride and handling like and are they both on standard shocks?

I'd imagine you'll get 15-20mm drop from those springs, 30-15 from factory.

You're right about h&r too, they don't list skoda but my local supplier has assured me they do a spring for our cars!

GROUP BUY!!!!

I second that!!

Good idea I'm up for it

Just putting this picture in for you to also consider. I have mine lowered on Weitec coils, have about another 40mm left to drop down but the ride height is perfect in my opinion. Only have a terrible iphone picture.

That's a good price. Does that drop the VRS by 30mm?

Is that the correct ones for the FL CR VRS hatch?

heres mine on fk  coil overs but i could not get the right ride for me either to bouncy or to hard im back at a standard set up at the mo, looking at 30mm Eiback springs

Hi it will only lower the VRS by 15-20mm  as its all ready lowered from factory by 15mm and the company's don't take this in to consideration when showing how much they lower the Vrs if any one knows any differnt please correct me

Why not just look for a set of springs for an octavia?

Bottom line is eibach will only give a 20mm drop, H&R will give 35mm.

On my FL it went from this

They are both the same, just like people have said previously, some sellers dont take into account that a VRS is lowered already.

Bottom line is, buying any Eibach spring will only get you 15-20mm drop. Regardless of what the ad says.

Eibach Skoda Octavia (1Z) RS (2.0 TFSI, 2.0 TDI) Pro Kit Lowering Springs

wagon version:- E10-79-004-04-22
liftback version:- E10-79-004-02-22

These Eibach springs lower by 20 mm on the front and 20 mm on the rear.

These were once a skoda accessory in the UK -

Skoda Part Number: ZGB1Z3071676 (link)
