I find it interesting that they are going to get more expensive when they start bulk production of them...... plus they will be more expensive than the mk3 ones as well!

After looking at the pics in the above link I do not like the 2 plates that are bolted to the bonnet.

If someone else wants my spot they are welcome to it.

Agreed. They really are ugly, I do not like those big plates at all. Therefore I would like to remove my name from the group buy.

I must say your both right there.

I don't recall seeing them on the Mk111 model.

Maybe they may look better if they were colour coded to match.

It might be an idea for someone to buy just one of these and see if they are any good. I don't mind getting one at the pre-order price to see if its actually better than the photos that Superskoda have put up.

 

I am guessing that the brackets have to be there to strengthen the bonnet and move the pivot point so the gas struts work correctly

Chris, thanks for the video link. I've also just ordered one. My bonnet's black so I'll paint the brackets before fitting, but it does look easy. One less for a group buy!

As it didn't look like it was going to happen any time soon and as Superskoda had a 20% off last weekend I ordered the right hand kit then.

 

The demo video is spot on; very simple to do (10 minutes max) and as my car's silver the bracket doesn't look too out of place.
