Spring Action Day @ Castle Combe 26th April 2014 - CLUBSTAND ONLY

Featured Replies

Ticket here, thanks Jason.

Mrs has started taking the wet...

"Don't forget your flask"

"Have you got some sandwiches?"

"Have you got a warm hat?"

"Don't get your slippers wet"

"It'll be nice for you to meet people your own age"

"It might be nice, why don't you take the Colt convertible..."

  • I am not sure that gazebo is meant to repel all rainwater, but if it is....  It's frankly rubbish!

  • Sorry to hear that, Charlie.* You're well rid, mate.*   * delete as applicable

  • Did someone say CAKE? There might be a couple of trays of danish in my boot They might be a bit lonely, so if someone had a ruddy great fruit cake to keep them company.....

Good luck convincing the gate staff you have a car and driver clubstand pass. :D  This is why everyone on the stand has booked through me as I had to order a car and driver pass for every single car on the stand (so Combe know how many spots to leave us) - I doubt it will be a drama though, but expect to have to butter up gate staff to get on the clubstand!

Understood, thanks for the info. It's been a few months since I've been on here so no problem. It was a bit touch and go if I could make it anyway.

I've still got the ticket if anyone needs one.

Better pack my wellies. :)

I have the brolly in the boot and my big coat too, not too worried as it is only water and our skin is waterproof

I will come unprepared for the weather as usual :D

It really does get that muddy then?  :@

I'm about 15 miles from CC at the moment and it's piddling down.

A lot.

Sun is out in Exmouth (about 100 miles away) and I cycled home from work in lovely weather. :D

I'm sure it will be "OK" tomorrow.

Hang on while I move the Castle Combe circuit just outside Honiton, then...

:-)

Aaaanyway... Does Briskoda have anyone going to CC that might be easily mistaken for a responsible adult?

My dad (91) isn't that well all of a sudden so I'm not sure quite how tomorrow will pan out.

I don't want my lad to miss out though, so I'm wondering if there's anyone that would take him under their wing if I were to abandon him at CC for a few hours. He's 16, car mad and fully house trained, but is a little on the shy side so may end up stood in the rain on his own if there's no-one there he knows.

And he would be notified if he were to know I'd asked...

Not sure if Jamie I is bringing his lad down or not for tomorrow, he's a similar age I think, perhaps a little older.  I forget.

Those staying at PI Chippenham, what time do you plan on leaving?

I will try to aim for when you're all still there, coming from Reading.

It probably says somewhere here but what is our stand number that needs to be written on car pass?

Did this get answered? :)

Ensure you enter the YELLOW gate, not the main pit entrance.

It's the gate which is really close to where the stand has been for the past couple of years.

I hope that gate will be open when I arrive, its usually still locked tight and I drive in through the main entrance and turn left.

Not sure it was a good idea coming down tonight?

3 1/2 hrs for a 2 hour journey. Bloody M25, M4.

Still, a Moo pie and a beer sorted it out. See you in the morning

If its quiet, I imagine no problem doing this, but technically we are only meant to go in the "yellow gate"

Could have been worse!

Could have been worse!

I might be able to help convoy the interior to Reading and come home via the A33 if it helps, Richard unless Chris or Charlie et al have room :)

I would help but i'm going to Bristol tomorrow night.
