I'm growing a beard already ;)

colin,

you know my thoughts on this from a while ago discussing this - i really like the rs4's.

Audi_s4.jpg

pretender, but the right feel, fat spokes over spider webs.

Getting there. ;) Personally, I don't like the indents at the end of each spoke - would look better smooth. And with some tyres on - why do wheel mfrs do that? You don't get a good feel for how the wheel is really going to look until you get the rubber on. (Steady!!)

Some nice 40 series Toyos and you'll be away!!

Surely those without the dents would be Audi TT wheels?

Rob.

some audi's have the dents.. S4?

Nope, strictly a Q thing, I'm afraid (or relieved?) to say...

I know S4 wheels /lookalikes when I see them ;)

They are S4 yes, new A4 nave similar, but no dents....this is getting harder.

I like the dents to be in the centre of the wheel, myself - * blatantly emphasising his own wheels, again...

White speedline turini's 18x8 with a deep dish. MMMMMMM

Yup we do -- although not off everything, any queries as to what discount can be had on what product should be directed to Chris Green via his e-mail @ [email protected] or via phone one 01978 663066.

As I say there are some exclusions, but I found them to be very helpfull.

Don't forget to mention Briskoda.net :D

What you want is some nice multispokes - harder to clean but worth it.

Visit www.wheelmachine.de for some ideas..

Colin, those are more like it, but as most say, the indents need to go.

The problem with choosing wheel's is it's very difficult to imagine how the car will look with them on - also it's very personal choice -- what 1 person thinks look great the next might think pant's.

I personally don't like using other VAG wheels -- I could have got a set of original(in need of refurb) RS4 18" rims for nothing from work -- but would have needed to find centre caps without Audi logo and get them refurbed.

The other important thing to consider is the quality of the wheel's -- sure they look great when first fitted - but what are they going to look like after a UK winter ?

True, True and True. Buy cheap, buy twice is a motto I keep hearing...

I could have got a set of original(in need of refurb) RS4 18" rims for nothing ...MEDIC we got a live one here!

:D I know what you mean though.

Might be sliding down to Wrexham at some point to have a look in Mr Demons Garage.

Already well on my way Dave, had the car (2nd hand immculate) chipped and now KW suspension. Thankfully; in an obscure way, a standard Octavia exhaust won't fit . So it's a custom job, which means arranging a trip down south or burnley and that won't happen for a while.

Just got to stablise before Autum sets in, but sadly I need new tyres and well it's not that much for new wheels aswell if I bend the credit card bill through the prism of desire, might aswell enjoy them now as in 6 months, plus I need them for any brake work I consider...but thats the spring/summer'04 project, once we know what the new octavia is likely to be :scrambles

Sorry --- must have missed that, sllightly off topic but - what's the KW suspension like ? -- does it make it too stiff on normal driving / roads or is it bearable ? -- just a thought, whilst looking out the picture of my car's wheel's got to thinking about lowering it a bit.......Oh hell here we go again

Dave,

Np, alot moves on this board now, but it has given me the urge; no not for a burger down keys...the urge to complete a profile mod...I stray.

does it make it too stiff on normal driving / roads or is it bearable ?

Nope they are magical, as you know the 4x4 is on stilts, has a lot of turn in pause and roll, most of that is gone. She still needs stiffer ARB and bushes, but not this time around, it's a fair compromise. It has transformed the car. However the cost is on bupier roads, say a little C road towads Worlds End, used to be fine, now it's a bit bump scrape eek so I have to back of a bit. But you know, it's lower than an RS (just) and well thats quite close to be asking it to stay clear of rapid undulations.

Here are some pics of her lowered and as your only in Wrexham, well I need to go to llangollen one night soon, fancy a pint on the horseshoe?

Pics

I thnk the 4x4 owner working on suspension gain more per pound, as per chipping 150 to 220 is a very good 400 quid. As such the stock RS owner might feel a bit robbed, although I know Paul and Jon are loving it, so maybe not!

I tried to talk you out of it.
