Unlocking Iphone 4

iphones can only be unlocked by the network they were originally on, I paid £25 to have an EE iPhone 4 unlocked to any network. A permanent unlock has to be done by Apples servers, you contact the provider who in turn contact Apple to have the device unlocked. The device is then unlocked forever when you next sync or  restore with iTunes. Mine went through in 3 days, no problem at all. Any other method is not permanent and could be lost at any time.

I unlocked both mine and my mrs' iPhones from o2. It was done free by o2 on both occassions.... As long as it's out of contract they do it for free and it's all done online..... Or it was the other year when i did ours. ;)
