Touch up paint

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,  Where is the best place to buy touch up paint, Got some done at Halfords a while back using the code number in the boot and when i came to use it (a while later), It's the wrong shade, As far as i know my Octavia is Island Green, The paint i got mixed using the code is more like a bluey green??  :wonder:

you can buy it from skoda, about £20

Thanks, Will do that, Better chance of getting the right shade with them..

I had the same with halfords mix on site stuff for race blue- it wasn't even close. I bought some from the dealer in the end for about £9. I also splashed out for some chipex stuff too but haven't had to use it yet

Hi I used these people

241-243 WATTVILLE ROAD, B66 2NU SMETHWICK, WEST MIDLANDS

Number:   0121 565 0201,

The mix it on site £8 I think . Race blue had 3 shades so they colour swatched it to get the exact match .

I've got the Chipex (black magic) and the colour match is spot on, although there seems to be a bit of an art in getting it to behave when you blend it into the surrounding existing paint, although that might just be me....

I only got it because it was on offer. Bit pricy otherwise.

Just ordered touch-up paint as recomended by 'FUBAR' seemto be what I'm looking for, also got some for my alloys an while on the site ordered some chrome dust valve dust covers. will post outcome. Happy new year to you all.

What product did you order for the alloys?

Touch -up paint for octavia alloys, so I can rub down some small blistering and touch - up, from the same sight on e-bay that 'FUBUR' mentioned on his posting

same site as I have just ordered from, thier base in Ireland so I won't get the paint till next week post being what it is !!  . I find it very odd that the dealer can't help Doofy , maybe he just can't be bothered.

I see what you mean

Best avoided

Just search on ebay for your colour etc.

I got a genuine Skoda one for £5.

Phil

I got mine from a dealer via ebay some time ago.

Have also bought other parts like the Teves 60 from dealers but via ebay.

Seems to be some genuine Skoda sets for £12.99 on EBay. Just search for "Genuine Skoda Anthracite" to see if I could find one if I needed it and there are a couple.
