Trevorb33 Mk1 Octavia vrs now breaking

Featured Replies

Back in a skoda completely by chance, one of my friends at work mk1 vrs had been through the wars the last couple of weeks, a bus hit his front bumper and took a chip out of it, and then in the high winds he had a tree branch fall through the back window and slightly denting the c pillar, unfortunately due to the value of mk1 now days it was written off, didn't need much just a new back window to get it running, needs a bit of tlc bodywork wise but mechanically it's spot on done 63k from new with a new clutch last year vr6 single mass jobbie, and has quite a few goodies on it, any who some pictures,

How the poor octy started out

After a couple of days cleaning up all the glass inside, which got everywhere I've fitted a new tailgate and rear bumper, even going to keep the 1.6 badge for a giggle,

Done a few bits like remove the sai pump, with my forge blanking plate I had from a previous car, and also deleted the n249, n112 etc and resistored them, runs really well has a stage 1 map on it too,

It didn't look too bad just weren't a fan or how the line followed into the arch, safe to say its gone now

When you deleted the n249 did you need it mapping out? Or are the resistors enough?

Normally resistors are fine for the 249 and 112 the sai will still put a light on usually even if resistored

Do you have a dislike of air con as you seem to remove it from every car you buy!

Yep can't stand it lol

If its anything like the v6 about 17kg

In Greece driving a car without air con is a nightmare :giggle:

I can only say I've ever used it once, when I had a Fabia vrs and went on a road trip around Spain for two weeks apart from that and the occasional delmisting pretty pointless in the uk, if the car was worth any money I might have kept it

Same in Croatia, regardless on power or any benefit, I would never remove AC

I like A/C. means I can keep the windows shut and be cool in the summer, windows open = snotty nose and sore eyes from pollen, I would never have a cabriolet either!

Ever wondered why cabriolet cars have A/C and a removable roof?  I bet people use A/C when the roof is down too!

That's the great thing about tinkering with cars if we were all the same it would be a boring place :)
