well been a member for a while but never posted,so here goes, please dont bite my head off for having a golf, but i have built a mk2 golf syncro with 20vt quaife 6spd most of it done by jabba, knowing most of you love jabba, some of you may have seen the car sat there for over a year a dark green golf with no door handles and mike swearing about it alot, my probelm is i have fitted a haldex diff and got it working but i need some info on the skoda octavia 4x4 20vt gearbox and transfer box, is the code the same as the syncro i.e 02c? wot is the part no.?wot are the ratios of the transfer box , is the transfer box the same as the TT or mk2 syncro with TT ratios and are the oil ways the same as mk2 syncro?

Hi nutter4X4. Welcome to Briskoda.

I can help with the gearbox code for the 2002 1.8T 4X4 - namely FEX. The part number is 02C 300 011 BL. If you post the VW part descriptions and part numbers you want to compare, it should be possible to check ETKA to see if the Skoda part numbers are the same.

is there any breakers that deal with the lastest octavias??

Not sure if it helps, but www.awesome-gti.com had a TT 5spd gearbox for sale...might have other bits aswell.

cheers, but thats a 02m box and not 02c, the oil ways are in a different place on the transfer box for wot i need

i am trying to get my car running properly , its been along time now almost 3 yrs start to finish, soon as the gearbox is sorted i can get my self booked in to jabba
