from my quick and dirty measuring it looks like my current wheels are only about 5mm too small(apart from width issue's) would it possible to get my wheels 'adjusted' by a metal worker with a lathe or wold they become too weak?

i think they would look effing awesome under 16's as you would have nothing between the brake's and the wheels

They fill the wheels nicely even on 17's and some people have had to 'shave' the balancing weights to clear the calipers.

I think yours is the GT kit (almost exactly the same) as it has drilled discs.
