As mentioned on another thread, my Felicia is going to the great car park in the sky.

 

It's got about 1/2 tank of petrol still though. Is it easy enough to siphon this out via the filler cap, or would there be something to prevent this? Felicia 1.3 petrol 1997.

I got a syphon kit from Halfords for a fiver. Has a small hand-pump in it to save you the pleasure of a mouthful of unleaded

its possible the tank is anti-syphon, that means there is a mesh in the filler pipe to stop pipes being pushed into the tank. 

You could just use the fuel pump to pump the fuel out instead, you just need a short piece of wire about 30 cm long and earth one of the terminals on the central electrics loom, then just take the fuel supply pipe off the fuel rail.

there is a 6 way terminal block in the engine bay on the passenger side on a little f shaped bracket on the charcoal can, unplug the 6 way one, insert a your wire into terminal 3 on the one that goes through the bulkhead to the Dashboard central electrics loom, then touch the other end on the negative battery terminal, then when you turn on the ignition the fuel pump will run.

you mean that fuel will start flowing after you cut the fuel hose ?

Just use fuel pump and pump it out disconnect fuel lines at front conect to can turn ignision on and one empty tank.....

Just bridge the fuel pump relay.
