The other day I was following a Mercedes SLK convertable and the guy was wandering all over the road. I then noticed that he was on his mobile phone so I flashed him and gesticulated that I had seen him using his phone. He immediately slammed is brakes on and I was forced to go around him. As I did he shouted F*** O**. He then followed me for about a mile and stopped outside my house and continued to shout abuse. I did not rise to the bait and pretended to ignore but I was angry that this guy and his male passenger had followed me deliberately. He then turned around and screamed off down the road. Do you think I should have informed the police OR should I have said nothing in the first place as my wife suggested?

If you were being followed its advisable not to drive to your house, I would drive to the nearest Police station...

Good on you for expressing to him that he shouldn't be on his mobile, I always do it

Did you get his vehicle reg?

If you got his reg report him for harrassment ;-)

Didnt get the reg

Personally I'd have tickled him around the chops.

Should have got the reg, thats the first thing i think of if I'm about to explain to other drivers that they are endangering other people's lives, just in case they decide they want to endanger mine!!

I agree with you flashing him, but I would definitely have reported him. Apart from the legal and danger aspect, which is bad enough, if he can afford an SLK, then he can definitely afford a hands free kit!

I agree that I wouldn't have gone home if I knew he was following me. He now knows where you live, and he sounds like the sort of person you don't want at your house again. If something like that happens again, go to the nearest police station, and while you there report them. The boys will hopefully then keep an eye out on their travels.

You should have ignored him and gone further up the road preferably waiting (on foot) at the next pelican crossing and dropped a handy dog t*rd behind his seat without him or his boyfriend seeing you

Another post that confirms my theory that the more expensive the car, the less chance there is of them using a hands free kit.

Its either that they have spent so much on the car that they cant afford anything else, or that they think they are above the law.

Me thinks the latter!
