  • Ironic. To be fair, you did just try to tell someone they shouldn't be able to see something that you can't

  • Disagree. Doesn't obstruct visibility at all.

Right folks, we need to clear something up here, we try to moderate as best we can, but if there are troublesome posts you need to press the report button to make the moderating team aware of it, we are all volunteers and we simply don't have time to read every single post on the forum, so sometimes they slips through the net so to speak, so unless it's reported we are often unaware of problems until they flare up big, briskoda has always been a great community populated by mostly friendly folk so if there is a member who is ruining your experience of the site or being abusive then report the trouble makers to us and they will get thier toes stamped on.

That sounds good. Now could you point out the troublesome and abusive posts on this thread please?

I don't want to over egg the pudding so to speak but to follow on from Tom and being section leader I would just like to say the following.

This section over the last few weeks has had to have many posts hidden and unfortunately threads locked, It was only yesterday that I had to write a reminder about the rules and the expectations of members posting.

As Tom says if you have any issue with a post PLEASE report it, don't retaliate which just causes many other posts to be made and the thread just spirals out of control.

It's no fun for the mods to have to trawl through posts to hide them or even kill a thread by locking it.

Having read some of the posts I think other threads that have gotten out of control in the MK3 section have been referred to in this one. Sometimes it is best to agree to disagree.

Whilst I agree with what you say, I do get the feeling that I'm being lectured at for giving an honest opinion on a real problem, for me.

Another poster cannot see (sorry!) that problem, is very dismissive of that opinion, very vocal, resorts to shouting, call people thugs and generally gets on his high horse. Then, maybe, calls in the mods!

I agree - we are all car enthusiasts - and Skoda appreciators - we are never all going to agree on everything, let's move on. :sun:

Colour Maxidot is really nothing to write home about!! I think it is standard on the Elegance, and presume it is part of some other upgrade on the SE. but wouldn't tick the option if it were given to me.

Colour Maxidot is fine if you like staring at blue snowflakes and red doors. I may be wrong but I don't think it offers anything much over the the white on black one? I have it on mine because it was specced by someone else otherwise I wouldn't have bothered.

I'd agree that the colour version isn't really worth the little extra cash. All the cars that I test drove had the colour maxidot but I chose not to order one and so didn't really know what the difference would be.

After receiving my car this week and having now used both, my opinion is that the monochrome maxidot actually suits the aesthetics of the dashboard better and looks really good between the dials. I'd even go as far as to say that if the colour screen was a no-additional-cost option, I'd quite possibly stick with the monochrome.

Am I right in thinking that there's no actual difference in the resolution of the maxidot screens? I sure can't see that there is.

I have made along with Tom the expectations of this forum. As already stated sometimes we have to agree to disagree and walk away, what might be OK for me is NOK for you and vice versa, we are all individuals.

Walk away. Yes, that's a good idea.

Final warning or it will be locked.

Names removed from posts and others hidden.

Back on topic - yes thinking about it the proper spare wheel is potentially the most useful optional extra...but wouldn't want to be without the other ones I ordered, I suppose the least useful one on my car is the rear LED's...
