Driving back from Lincoln the other night, I was getting hit by loads of big bugs. You know the ones that leave a huge green gooey mess & can only be removed with a blow torch or acid.

What I was wondering was, how slow do you have to go so, flys & bugs can miss the front of your pride & joy? Obviously when you've been out for a good blat late at night, the front end is plastered in flys, but if you are just driving round town, you hardly get any.

I dont know is the answer, but I think you should investigate. Make it a fair test and report back.

I tend to drive normally then clean them off with bug wipes - available from all good halfrauds...

You can't avoid them as they are the suicide bombers of the animal world.

The Furby's the worst car I've ever driven for bugs - possibly the screen angle or something makes them more likely to hit than flow over.

The answer to the question - go fast enough and you'll pass through them in a sci-fi stylee

or of course you could always just walk... that way the bugs won't hit your car at all

Then again, I spose you'd come home and find a bird had cr@pped on it instead :lol:

Quite right! I've owned lots of cars over of the years and, unless it's just that there are more bugs than ever around this year, it seems to get splattered by the suicidal little sods more than anything else i've ever owned.
