Think I saw this at the shark open day. Apart from the interior I wasn't greatly impressed by it to be honest.

I heard the seats were an effort, think the bonnet made it a head turner.

Looks chav'tasticly ****e

Agreed.

The seats may have been difficult to fit but the brown/diarrhea colour is just horrible.

I'm sorry, but as a show car, which it was built as, it's an excellent motor

I think its a great Fabia, i really like the trim!

The whole 'show car' statement really hacks me off!

Type in show car on ebay and you'll get umpteen muppets claiming their saxo with a whale tail is a show car!

Imo it is not a show car, its a bloody fabia vrs with scirrocco seats and a paintjob.

A classic ferarri / db5 etc i would classify as a 'show car' because id actually want to have a look at it

Horses for courses, Jase, really, doesn't bother me what you think of the 'show' tag

The car goes to shows, and wins prizes, whether you like it or not, so some people appreciate it

A classic Ferrari would surely go to a classic car show, and if that's the bag you're into, so be it

I like the interior and ant has put effort in to no question.

Odds are its just had a full respray cos its been in a crash, else why bother why not take it into the body shop for full makeover instead

As for the mods, anyone willing to mod there car should know full well before they start that its something you do for your own pleasure, and its a pleasure you have to be willing to pay for yourself, cos mods add sweet f-all to the value of your car, at best they maybe a selling feature if say you are looking at a number of different options possible to buy, like for example you have 2 cars same model, same year, condition, miles, history all that important stuff, they same, as is the price again the same, one has the mods the other don't, mods in this case may swing the tables and make your car more attractive to the buy, or maybe even help it maintain its top dollar going rate value, but as for adding value to the car, thats just never going to happen, and for what it's worth they can have the reverse effect also and take value off your car, so this guy is in dream land if he thinks that car is worth £5,500, its not even worth £3,500, £3,300 at best, and thats with a lot of look in finding a buyer who loves what he has done to it

Personally I would not be willing to give him more than £2,000 for it since I just think that interior is the most hideous thing I have ever seen inside a vrs and would want the price deducted with the understanding that it needs a new interior,

As I said, each to their own

Pictures never show the full story

Interior's not my cup of tea either, but then, there's no accounting for tastes, so. . .

First thing that strikes me though - the state of the headlights. And it won shows with them like that?  :wonder: And the US spec stuff. Given the Fabia wasn't sold in the US, have those 'US spec' parts been removed? ;)

Otherwise it looks well enough done/cared for etc. though.

God only knows what comments I'll get if I try advertising the JPS   :)

I'll probably have to pay someone to tow it away

Has it **** been well cared for mate, the entire add is full of ****, its been in a smash, rolled maybe even, Full respray so front and back ends both must have been all ****** up, some type of tacky refurbishment on the lights  that must have barley survived covered over by the masking effects.

All the interior must have been ****** up glass maybe shredding the seats up, maybe someone even was killed in the crash blood everywhere maybe forced the original interior to be stripped out, and replaced with a second hand cheap tacky find that was covered and refurbished in that hideous brown leather.

De-badging saves the guy a few quid after getting the back end fixed up, fact that they happen to look good without the badges save the cost and effort of sticking them back on.

As for the other mods, clutch suspension, remap exhaust system  etc, its just had all that done before the crash, and its all maybe still ok, in fact would be better off if the suspension was actually done after the crash again as another forced expense to get the car back on the road, else that may be suffering also, in fact with the suspension this is more likely, using a cheap AP set to replace the damaged OE parts.

Story goes., Chav get Vrs, gets it mapped and stick a big shiny milltek exhaust system on it, then goes and smashes it up, then someone takes it fixes it up, probably the same person who owes it in the first place, and since it body work is looking so sweet right now thanks to the spray job they call it a show peace, and stick it on eBay at least £2,000 over price.

Bloody hell, what evidence have you got for all that shower of sh i te?

Unless, of course, you owned it before, drove like a tw@ and killed someone

So why did it need a full respray then and new interior that's not even as good as the original recaros in there as standard?

Funny that a less than 100k car that has been looked after like it was a show car should need a full respray don't you think, anyone else having paintwork problems on there 04 plates to justify a full respray who uses there car for day to day business on the road and who is not taking care of it like its a show car?

Original vRS seats Recaros.........really?

The whole point of, dare I say, show cars, is doing something different

Who gives a flying one whether or not you like it?

It doesn't have recaros as standard :D

That made me laugh

Quite simply personal choice I'd imagine.

If you want to take your cars to shows and a previous owner hasn't looked after it you'll get it sprayed simple.

As for the interior, some people like to get their existing seats re trimmed. Obviously they wanted a one of a kind interior. Colour aside the seats are very nice

Brilliant

And I don't even drive a Fabia vRS  :)

Since the Golf are using recaros and VW is making these skodas, you can bet your life that even if they dont have the name on them they are coming out of the same manufacturing plant as the recaros in the golf as part of the same contact, everything about that seats shape suggests recaro are behind the design.

More unsubstantiated guesswork

How I laughed  :D

I've seen this car up close, like a lot of other people have at Castle Combe and while it's not to everyones liking (whose cars are?) it's quite obvious how much care and attention has been poured into. If you chaps don't like it, fair enough but don't go making assumptions you can't back up.

biggest load of ****e I've ever read on here :( I should know, I've posted a lot of it :D

Not as much as me  :P
