Dual mass flywheel costs ?

Featured Replies

Good morning,

Does anybody know much a dual mass flywheel will be costing and where a good place to get one fitted in the South coast.

I can only base my answer on my previous car.

I had a quote for this for my Mondeo (59 plate) of around £750 admittedly it was from ford, they where then told where to go!

Needless to say I sold the damn thing!

£867 for my diesel focus in the summer. Traded it in for the Superb instead.

I had mine replaced under warranty just before Christmas (main dealer) and they said it would have cost me about £1500 if I had needed to pay for it myself. Not sure if this would be a normal price or if they were just being bandits as they new it was warranty work  :bandit:

Had mine replaced just before Christmas, had it done at one of a chain of the Lion Garage who are VAG only specialists, as mine is a 2.0Tdi 4x4 it was £950 for flywheel and clutch, extra work to remove and re-install the extra drive shaft and associated kit, they did say if it had been a 2 wheel drive it would have been about £800, they also only use VAG approved parts so the one I had fitted is a LUK clutch and flywheel, LUK make VAG OEM parts.

I know you are in the UK but try

or ring Daniel on 00353877719956

Have your chassis number when you ring. You would be buying with a stronger currency and the shipping might not be too bad.

I have used them before and they are very, very competitive.

I have just been told that I should have my dual mass flywheel and possibly clutch replaced. I have a 2010 2.0TDI 170 bph. I have 118k Km's (73k miles) on the clock. I was not expecting this. The mechanic said it is making noise. I can' hear it but I trust him implicitly, I've used him for years. Is this normal or am I just unfortunate? Any comments and thoughts here? Many thanks.

Thanks for replies.
