Richard's mk1 Fabia thread. (Yes, I have a mk1 Fabia problem...)

You won't get anywhere near 300hp on a stock head Richard!

How would anyone know if you had a ported head and bored the block out to 2.0?!

Porting fine, but must be stock type head.

MSA rules allow one overbore apparently...

They weren't non-VRS models Dan. And one of them went wrong so much that he broke it.

Richard didn't ask for none vRS. And it was strictly tongue in cheek. But thank you for ruining it.

Been a while since anything happened on this.

But I am on the look out for a well modified (high power) Fabia mk1 VRS....

Ideally spec running 300bhp or more.

Ha. Im loving that comment.

Mk1 fabia VRS's are still popular.

There's a few trolling around on the fabia vrs pages on facebook 220+ but unsure on the reliability of them. (Its facebook after all)

That's interesting Sam, thanks.

Was it ever an option on the Elegance?

I've only seen one of those in LHD, never seen a FGF Elegance in the UK.

Just Classic and Comfort.

I wondered if it was because nobody ever actually ordered the car in that colour, they were just stock ones. :D

Soo...Thought I'd throw this out there.

Seems there was at least 1 Fantasy Green UK spec Elegance. Probably an original press/demo car from Skoda UK when the Fabia was first launched.

  • 2 months later...

A LHD imported Saloon would be a bit pointless though. :)

Anyway, I am currently pottering about in the estate, although I need to sort a set of wheeltrims.

Is that a Clio with a boot on the left of the pic? Seat, Skoda, and then what ???

Richard.

Looks like it. Small saloons are much more popular on the mainland.

In 26k driving my Cordoba I saw 4 others. In Spain you can see 4 Cordobas on the same street.
