I wondered if it was because nobody ever actually ordered the car in that colour, they were just stock ones.

 

You'd have thought they would know which colours sell even before producing the colour options, not like they are short on historic data or people to go and collect market research. And why didn't Fiat look at Skoda's FG sales before they painted the 500 with left over Fabia paint? See a few of them floating about.

True, but primer has never been a good look either.

It's not stopped several brands bringing out the polished primer look.

 

I suspect Fiat were trying to do something fashionable and different.

They just got beaten to it by Skoda.

Out of interested, I recently acquired some mk1 Fabia brochures.

 

Against Fantasy Green it specifically states that it's not for the saloon so it looks like you did have the complete collection at one point.

No, back and front ones went to Laura on here when her VRS was involved in an accident.

Front one was a rare xenon one with the washers.

Might be, put a bid on this today for some odd reason...   but have been outbid.

 

I've checked the brochure again, and it definitely doesn't say you can't have fantasy green on an elegance. Only makes reference to not being available for the saloon, which is a shame.
