yep had to take the bumper off to get it on the ramps i don't do things by half.

then had it out for a good run (Italian tune up) and after a good few runs out mayo seems to have gone. Still using quite abit of oil though.

Some do. It just seems to be your luck what you get.

Save you taking the bumper off, invest in a trolley jack and some axle stands :-)

I hate ramps with a passion.

when i bought mines the useage was quite high, say a litre a 1000 miles, now ive taken ownership, do decent runs and thrash it im about a litre every 2000 miles so it does depend the way you drive them as well

I have had similar problem and found that when I changed the breather on the side of the head (which is supposed to be a none return valve from the intake) due to it not working. Another sign is an oil smell now and again when driving, it is found under the air filter cover and there is a revision update (part number 06F129101N £30 at TPS)

Outcome no smell when driving and no cream on filler cap and oil consumption has gone down.

nah love my ramps lol feel safer then working under axle stands and trolley jacks plus for quick simple jobs they are good might invest in the extensions thanks :D

as for the brown cream i keep giving it a good blast on long journeys and no signs of it returning.
