Bought a new shelf to try and organise all my detailing gear, very pleased with the outcome and will probably end up buying another one :)

  • I got a bit carried away the last time there was a 3 for 2 on Auto Finesse...

  • Is that a come on, Lee?

  • Well finally got round to doing my Fabia ready for putting it up for sale.   More or less used the same products as on the BMW above. Only real change was that I used CG's Pete's 53 rather than the

I need some of these shelves

That's a well stocked shelf

I have 3 rolling toolboxes, and a shelf full of bags and boxes.  It's getting a little silly really :D   I will need to have a sort out soon as sometimes I simply don't know where i have put X Y & Z.....

Thanks...looks just what I'm after

They also come in red and silver I believe, not just the blue. You may want to check the dimensions of it first as it wasn't quite as big as I thought it would be, but in the end it turned out just fine for what I wanted.

Haha, I just had a tidy up of my cleaning gear.

Had to make shelf space for my pair of Karchers.

Pair? I'm welcome to any donations as I don't have a pressure washer  :giggle:

Took a few days off to do a bit of car detailing, and it's raining

Here too!

Having to `squeeze` around inside the closed garage!

Get a decent Nilfisk pressure washer, Jack. Those things go on forever compared to a Karcher. They have a snow foam lance available. Boss picked one up fro Travis Perkins in Bish Wal :)

Yeah plan is to get a Nilfisk, Dad has had 2 Karchers and both have broken after not too long. Will probably order this one, https://www.cleanstore.co.uk/products/Product.asp?ID=12872, when funds allow.

Looks good, has all the accessories and a reel for the hose. I hate coiling them up by hand!

Both my Karchers have needed repairing recently.

I won't be fixing them again. To be fair one was my mother in laws

and she left it in the shed a few winters ago and it froze.

Being a water cooled model it was ruined. I should have bought a

new Nilfisk really but since it was my mother in laws I felt compelled to

fix it rather than throw it away. Even though it made no sense to do so

it went into Karcher and they charged me a fixed fee to fix

it. (£78 inc VAT)  It basically needed all new guts so it wasn't something they made much

money on. I bought the parts for the other one off the net and fixed it myself.

Been meaning to get one of these for a while, glad I finally got round to it as it's a really good bit of kit.

Those Numatic hoovers vacuum cleaners really are good kit for the money and go on forever. Used them on site to hoover up all sorts from dust to (small) chunks of rock.

Great with Yetis :giggle:

Have just spent the past 2 days detailing the Clio after picking it up on Saturday. Took far longer than I anticipated but I'm pleased with the results.

Also used a few new products which I was rather pleased with.

?303 Aerospace protectant- Used this on the engine bay and interior, it really makes things look how they should look when it left the factory. Very easy to work with and should provide a good bit of protection.

Wolf Chemicals Trim Coat - Similar to above, makes exterior trim look brand new again and should provide a good amount of protection. Also a little really goes a long way, so although its not the cheapest of products to buy it's good value for money.

Megs APC & Super Degreaser, both products worked really well and are both very versatile.

Also used CG's 50/50 for the second time, this is now my favourite all round wax, considering price, looks and durability.

Very nice work matie!!!

Very impressed with the finish, that colour must be satisfying to detail.

Lovely car too, really impressed with your work, some nice reflections.

Cant see pictures as there is an Outage fault on my line at the exchange...6 days now!! Bloody BT!!

Looking forward to seeing them

I should also have said - great polishing is one thing; but very nice photography and pictures.

Out of interest - what did you use to take those pictures mate?

Yes, a very rewarding colour to work with. Although I found it far harder to work with than any of the VAG paints I'm use to working on. I'm not 100% pleased with it as it could of ideally done with a deeper cut which I didn't have time to do, if you catch it from right angle in direct sunlight a little bit of marring is still noticeable.

Thanks, I used a Nikon D3100 with a Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G lens, then a little bit of correction in Adobe Lightroom afterwards.

Camera takes the good quality picture, then lightroom brings them to life.
