Hi all

My first post so apologies if this is in the wrong place. I'm about to take the plunge and order an Octavia estate and wondered whether anyone can offer me any advice.

I'm thinking of adding the panoramic roof and wondered whether this affects the use of a roof box in any way, other than not being able to see much when it's on!!

With young twins I need the box a couple of times a year for holidays for all the 'essentials' we seem to have to bring...

Don't see a problem, the rails are higher than the pan sun (closed) so all should be cool.

The front portion tilts and slides over the rear portion which may then foul ya roof box but as you say, it's very unlikely you will have it open with the roof box attached.

Do Skoda sell bars to suit the rails or am I better with Thule or someone like that?

Now all I need to do is pay and settle for a long wait.

No idea whether Skoda do their own stuff of not, best ask when you pay your money

Skoda bars used to be Thule bars but with skoda stickers.

I've had Thule and Atera and prefer the Ateras. Dealer bars are often made by Thule or Atera, but buy them elsewhere than the dealer and you'll save yourself a fair bit.

Slightly outta left field but, I recently saw a post on here where a family holiday included the vacum bags for packing holiday clothes, this allowed the family way more space for all the things they needed in the boot.  Apparently, little or no creases occur in vacum bags.

 

Just something I saw that might help
