He's on a technician / mechanics course and some off the lads have done crazy things with cars ! So now he wants to put either a 2.0t or a 1.8t in a little arosa :( I'm not too keen though as it will be veryyyyy quick, think its going to be a track day car on angelsey track

Yes we will but first I've got to get a garage built as I've changed the one here to a lounge

Sounds awesome!

BossFox will you buy me an LSD if I do your math homework? :D

This is a vid of a similar adventure

Lupo 1.8t has been done quite a lot.

Somebody has even fitted a 4.2l v8 from an audi into one so there must be more than enough room

I've done one too, by all means not an easy fit.

He needs to make it rwd or 4x4 too

Was that the same guy that then proceeded to put the Lupo engine in said Audi?

Now before I start the build thread, anyone with good links to places we can purchase an engine ? We need a reputable place

I'd just like to add that just because it's been done is not a reason stop anything.

All too often we see "been done" or "this one's bigger".

Simple fact is, do what you enjoy.

There is always someone out there with more money and less brain cells, or more skill.

Bring it on I say. :)

Well I've pm devontopia see if the engines available

My best advice would be buy an entire donor car rather than bit and pieces from different sources, I've found to my great cost in the past when you buy looms and engines from different vehicles, you sometimes get plugs that are different etc.. Other thing worth noting too is the 1.4tdi model lupo is great donor for the pedal box because it gives you driv by wire and the clutch master cylinder for the clutch hydraulics etc... Just saying.
