Well I have only gone and done it.....

 

Just been in and ordered a nice Skoda Superb 2.0TDi L & K 4 x 4 DSG Hatch in Cappuccino Beige with a few options, so factory order... Damn... now need to wait about 3 months :(

 

Thought the colour would look nice with the brown L & K leather.... 

 

Went for a test drive in a 140 TDi DSG, really, really impressed with the ride compared to my Exeo, and space... How the hell did they get that much room in a car.... considering it is a small 172mm longer, and 45mm wider than my Exeo, the room in the back is like a front room ...Lol 

 

The test car was in a really nice petrol blue, which I would have had, but Skoda have dropped it for new cars according to the sales chap.... 

 

Can't wait now.... like a kid at Christmas ....

Still love mine and learning about it after a year - three months will drag out but be worth it in the end!

I am like a "kid at Christmas" now...Lol .... I was the same when my Exeo was ordered, I had to wait for that... 

 

Any idea how long it takes before they give you a build date?

Congratulations Stu, bought mine Last November took delivery Jan 28 2014. The on,y extras I ordered were hill hold and spare wheel. I could not wait either so I downloaded the manuals and set about learning about the car, sad I know but hey ho.

November order as well and collected end of January, mind you the Christmas shutdown was in that period as well.

Am I correct in saying that the centre and side vents, the direction knobs illuminate?

When using the satnav, do the directions appear in the MFD between the speedo and the rev counter like my Exeo?

No but the maxi dot will show time to destination if that Is how you have set it up, also shows a countdown bar to the next manouver. However, this is such a complex bit of Kit, there may be a way of getting it to show. Look forward to seeing other replies. :0)

I thought so... looks nice, I saw one on the motorway Friday, looked like silver with a slight tint when the sun was on it... think it may look nice with the "L & K" brown/black interior...

This is similar as display on mine, in navigation mode. Has total distance time of arrival distance to next manouvre with countdown bar as you get close

 How long does it normally take before Skoda issue the "SLI Number" to track the vehicle..

1. Reading the brochure it states that the "L & K" comes with carpet mats, are these the same as the accessory over carpets?

2. Dose the umbrella in the n/s door come as standard? 

3. Is the main glovebox illuminated?

Answering a couple Yes passenger near side rear door umbrella was standard on my 2014 Elegance spec and yes i have a lit up glovebox. Elegance spec didn't come with mats so i bought some aftermarket ones so cant answer that ?

On my L&K fitted carpets were standard (as they were on last elegance).  There are also 'lounge steps' in the rear in the L&K.  These are a bit of a joke really and are slightly raised carpet covered plastic sections that are supposed to help rear passengers rest their feet!  Mine is Irish market spec though but I don't think those items should differ.

 

Umbrella came in mine but I believe it can be missing on some for some reason.  Glovebox is illuminated along with the storage box under the centre armrest.
