G4S

Featured Replies

A G4S liveried Citigo pulled up out side our house on friday with the gas meter reader man inside.

10 minutes later we overtook a car transporter, with about a dozen new Citigos on it ,all with the same G4S livery.

I wonder how many they've bought?

Seen a few of them about around here.

Same here in Liverpool but they are all Seat Mii's,not Citigos.

They use Peugeot 107's down here

Yep I've seen them in London too.

And me in South Derbyshire, looks like the base model they use.

Blimey, how many meter readers does G4S have??

Citroën has just delivered 437 C1 VTR models to G4S Utility Services, the UK’s largest supplier of data collection and meter reading services.

The C1s have been acquired for a new contract with a major power supplier and will be used by its UK-wide team of data collection and meter readers.

With this latest batch of cars, G4S Utility Services has now taken delivery of over 3,000 Citroën C1s during the last five years.

I doubt they bought any, they will be leased.

Definitly a fleet leasing. If they follow the usual fleet arrangement it'll be a 4 yr lease, with a milage limit, typically 100k miles.

so all the C1's they got 4-5 yrs ago will be getting replaced with Citigos.

I work for G4S Utilities  :hi: From the spec i believe they are SE's.

Do G4S actually read the meters then?

Thought they would just make the figures up based on their enviable record :giggle:

lol no we do read them.

We use to be Accuread FYI  ;)

Hehe :)

And they thought adopting the G4S name would be a good idea?!

Seriously, I am quite surprised the company haven't yet changed their name after the Olympics fiasco and other problems...

lol who knows...
