Vrs keeps her own

Real world, foot down, its bye bye vRS.  :giggle:

Will still own a vRS in every way though.

Clearly.

The vRS is designed to do a different job.

Ok, I'll bite,...0-200kmh in the Golf R will be around 20 seconds, best time I've seen for the GTI MK7 is just under 23 seconds (not seen a VRS time yet although apparently on paper they are very similar in hatch form for performance times),.............so real world putting your foot down, it's not quite bye bye VRS,..it'll hang on in there,.......

I'm not slating one or the other but figs I'm aware if are 19.4sec vs 24.4sec

Not saying they are concrete.

Bit quicker than that mate,. can't remember which mag it was, however have seen just over 22 secs for the GTI to 200kmh.

Either way, depending on spec etc, there's not going to be much in them and unless you're actually racing, real world, there isn't a lot in it. Not of course unless you're willing to go into licence losing territory and stay there for a while,..........

To be honest, they are all very different cars doing different roles with similar underpinnings and I for one would be well up for a VRS R as it'd give me the space/practicality along with the grip/performance although that won't happen anytime soon.

Plus, the better half, is worse than my speed camera warning on my iPhone when she's sitting in the car, with no way of turning the volume down, so the chances of actually using said performance is slim to none

Yeah they were book figs. I'd assume if the mk7 beat book the R would too tho.

As you say would need too go some to really notice huge difference. Traffic light Grand Prix yes but all else prob close

Ha yea know what you mean mate

Oh and octy R would have been my 1st choice!!
